Donald L. McNeil, M.D.

dr.-mcneil-pic-3Dr. Don McNeil has over 20 years of experience in clinical research. He is also president, founder and principal investigator at Optimed Research in Columbus, Ohio. Dr. McNeil is an Associate Professor of Clinical Medicine at The Ohio State University and specializes in allergy training for the OSU ENT Residency Program. In addition to serving on the faculty of Mt. Carmel, Doctors and Riverside Methodist Hospitals, Dr. McNeil is also on the consulting staff of Grant Hospital in Columbus, Ohio and Bethesda Hospital in Zanesville, Ohio.

Zia Ul-Qamar Farooki M.B.B.S

Dr. Zia Farooki serves as a sub-investigator at Optimed Research in Columbus, Ohio. He trained in Pediatric Cardiology at Children’s Hospital of Michigan and Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. During his decades of academic practice at Children’s Hospital of Michigan as full time staff, he conducted multiple clinical research projects.He served as Professor of Pediatrics at Wayne State University School of Medicine. He is board certified in Pediatrics and Pediatrics Cardiology.

He retired from practice and decided to live in Dublin where he and his wife are close to their daughter  and grandchildren.

Philip N. Rancitelli, M.D.

Dr. Philip Rancitelli serves as a sub-investigator at Optimed Research in Columbus, Ohio. While completing the Allergy and Immunology Fellowship Training at the Duke University Medical Center, Dr. Rancitelli participated in clinical research at the Duke University Department of Pediatric Allergy and Immunology. Currently, Dr. Rancitelli is a member of the medical teaching staff at The Ohio State University, Nationwide Children’s Hospital and Select Specialty Hospitals. He is also certified by the American Board of Allergy and Immunology.

Dr. Rancitelli’s private practice is located at Midwest Allergy and Asthma Associates in Worthington, Ohio. Born in Richland, Washington, Dr. Rancitelli lives in Upper Arlington with his wife and three children.

Charlotte Agnone, M.D.

Dr. Charlotte Agnone serves as a sub-investigator at Optimed Research in Columbus, Ohio. She received her medical degree from The Ohio State University College of Medicine and has been in practice for 24 years. Dr Agnone is Board Certified in Ophthalmology and has a private practice, Agnone, Morrison & Associates, Eye Physicians and Surgeons, Inc, located in Marysville, Ohio.

She is one of 21 doctors at Ohio State University Hospital who specialize in Ophthalmology where she also serves the Clinical Assistant Professor of the Ophthalmology Department. Dr. Agnone is also the Clinical Assistant Professor at Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Agnone sits on the Board for the Columbus Medical Association and The Ambulatory Surgery Center Association.

Ann Urbank, MS, CNP, CCRP

dr.-mcneil-pic-3As a sub-investigator for Optimed Research, Certified Nurse Practitioner Ann Urbank completes histories and physicals, reviews labs and diagnostics and is actively involved in patient recruitment. Past clinical experiences include pediatrics, home health, primary care and employee health. Ann received her diploma in nursing from St Thomas Hospital in Akron; her BSN from Capital University; and MS, CNP from The Ohio State University in 2003. Ann lives in Delaware County with her husband and Jack, their chocolate lab and enjoys playing golf.

Graham McNeil

dr.-mcneil-pic-3Graham is the Research Director at Optimed Research. He received is BBA from the University of Hawaii and has over 10 years of experience in the medical and business management field. He specializes in operational efficiency, business development and patient recruitment at Optimed. In his free time, Graham enjoys playing with his dog Dioji, playing squash, ultimate Frisbee, golf and water skiing.

Aaron Thornton, MS, CCRC.

dr.-mcneil-pic-3Aaron is a Research Coordinator for Optimed Research. He received his MS in pharmacology from The Ohio State University and has experience in all phases of clinical trials. He is an avid sports fan, and in his free time, he enjoys golfing, biking, and astronomy.

Kira Harris

dr.-mcneil-pic-3Kira is a Research Coordinator at Optimed Research. Kira graduated from Case Western Reserve University with a BA in anthropology and biology, and has previously worked on a wide range of research studies including lymphoma, multiple sclerosis, joint replacement, and organ transplant. She lives in Columbus with her husband and pets, and enjoys gardening and reading.

Dustin Caldwell

Dustin studied Developmental Health at the University of Hawaii. His clinical background is primarily in emergency medicine where he worked in Honolulu at Straub Hospital and Queens Medical Center. He also spent a year in the surgery department at Stanford University Medical Center. Dustin became involved in research in 2011, when he began working in research on pediatric pulmonary disease. He joined Optimed Research in 2013. Dustin enjoys reading and the outdoors; he plays rugby for a local Columbus team.

Emily Hunsaker

dr.-mcneil-pic-3Emily is a Research Assistant for Optimed Research. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Communication from The Ohio State University and is currently working on obtaining a degree in Cardiovascular Sonography. She has a special fascination with the heart, which is why she chose this pathway. She has lent her skills to just about every study at Optimed Research and continues to maintain a general knowledge of all aspects of research. In her spare time Emily enjoys watching baseball (GO REDS!), preparing for various races, and planning her wedding. Emily currently lives in Dublin with her fiancé and their two cats.

Lauren McNulty

Lauren is a Research Coordinator at Optimed Research. Lauren recently graduate from The Ohio State University with her Bachelor of Science in Psychology and aspires to be a Physician Assistant in the future. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her friends and family, attending concerts and sporting events, and rollerblading.
